So you want to make your content seen by thousands of people. How do you get more eyes in front of your content?

Connecting well with your audience takes a plan and strategy.

5 [easy] ways to make your content more shareable online

  1. Make sure your content is easy to read and understand. (readability)

2. Add images, videos, and infographics to make it more appealing (responsive design)

3. Make it timely, relevant, or somewhat controversial. (purpose)

4. Use social media platforms, like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

5. Use messaging tools and mobile apps.

Connecting with your audience is like going to a restaurant.

When you go to a restaurant, you expect that the food and the service will be good, if not great.

But, what about the menu?

If you want to connect with your audience, you have to give them something to buy from. Without a menu, your customers will never know what they are eating.

Don’t leave your audience guessing what they want to order.

So, the same thing applies to your content. Give your audience a buyers-guide of information that they can read and learn from.

Now, let’s dive into the details of connecting with your audience.

  1. Readability — if your content isn’t easy to read, then your customers will keep moving. K.I.S.S. (Keep It Simple Stupid)
  • make your content scannable
  • use subheadings
  • keep your paragraphs short
  • use lists

2. Responsive design — UX Functionality: can they click a button and share a link?

  • good images that apply to the content that you are serving and sharing
  • videos that are digestible (not too long)
  • infographics — explain what is going on in the marketplace

3. Make it timely, relevant, and somewhat controversial — if your content is outdated and doesn’t fit what your menu says, then don’t use it. At the same time make press against the status quo.

4. Social media is still one of the best ways to connect with your audience. Especially when you know what your audience is craving.

5. Mobile tools and messaging apps — most people would rather receive a text message than a phone call.

Instant messenger apps like, Whatsapp, FB messenger, and others are a great way to connect with your audience without the hassle of opening an email.

Bonus content:

  • Developing webinars and other online educational content for customers, prospects, and partners.
  • Publish white papers and case studies about your products or services for prospects looking for more information before making a purchase decision.

Give your customers something of great quality to wait for. They will be pleased and looking forward to paying, and overpaying for that great quality instead of that quick and fast sub-par quality content that you are giving them.
